Zachary Alam, also referred to as Zach Alam, is a graduate of Chantilly High School in Chantilly, Va., class of 2010.
Chantilly is a relatively affluent suburb of Washington, DC, out I-66 about 22 miles to the west. At the time he attended Chantilly HS, he was living in nearby Centreville, VA, on Cabells Mill Rd., just a few miles from the school.

He played on the soccer team, JV, and was recorded as having an assist in a game.
In the online “Purple Tide” magazine on Issuu, he was listed as being set to attend the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. UVA was founded in 1819 by the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson, whose home was in nearby Monticello.
Records of his enrollment at UVA are sketchy, but records show that he did live in a small, modest, student-esque place on Shamrock Rd. in Charlottesville (scroll down to see photo below), which is a very short walk to the center of university — maybe 15 minutes; also a very quick bike ride.
